SMALEI piloting: waste management

We´re implementing some of the actions identified and Waste management is one of them. Why did we choose it?

Before selecting the actions we reflected on the organisation itself, and decided that among our activities the technical projects are an important part of it. These projects follow in its core sustainability criteria:

in the project design.
using natural resources as little as possible to reduce the impact on nature.
minimizing the generated waste and carrying out the correct management
taking into account the circular economy in the processes followed by the project (reduce, reuse, repair and recycle)energy sources* and energy saving and proper use
emphasizing the sustainability criteria used in the didactic materials created in the projects.
But what happens in detail in these phases? We’ve chosen the 3rd criterion, and analysed waste management. After this analysis we shared our findings with the project coordinators and agreed on possible improvements. It was a very useful session, to share what they were doing and to gather suggestions for improvement.
