SkillAIbility presents its progress at International LCAMP Week & Open Days 2026

The SkillAIbility project took part in the project dissemination day held as part of International LCAMP Week & Open Days 2026. Organised by Tknika, this international event brings together vocational education and training and advanced industry stakeholders from across Europe.
The 23 April session focused on industry, international programmes (POCTEFA, Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe) and the closing of the LCAMP project. It featured presentations of more than 55 Erasmus+ and Interreg projects out of the nearly 90 currently active projects within the Basque VET network. The event was opened by Jon Labaka Intxauspe, Deputy Minister for Vocational Education and Training at the Basque Government’s Department of Education, and George Zissimos, Head of the Policy Advice Unit at the European Training Foundation. The day also included the LCAMP Student Hub Awards ceremony, recognising student talent and initiatives that strengthen the links between learning, innovation and industry.
During the Project Dissemination Day, aimed at VET teachers, representatives of SkillAIbility took part in a round table where they presented the project’s progress, main lines of work and achievements to date. The session provided an opportunity to share the initiative’s objectives with teachers and introduce the SkillAIbility approach to VET professionals.
The session was very positively received by participants. The interest in the topics discussed and in the solutions being developed through the project highlighted the importance of preparing VET to respond to the changes taking place in industrial environments. In particular, the exchange provided an opportunity to reflect on the role of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in learning processes, as well as the need to develop new skills to respond to changes in the labour market.
The event also provided an opportunity to explain SkillAIbility’s human-centric approach, which places people at the centre of technological transformation processes. The project aims to promote the integration of advanced technologies in ways that complement people’s capabilities and contribute to creating more inclusive and sustainable work and learning environments that respond to the needs of workers and learners.
The event also offered an excellent opportunity to raise the project’s visibility, exchange experiences with other teams involved in European initiatives and establish connections with VET professionals and organisations. Events of this kind help share knowledge, identify common challenges and explore new opportunities for cooperation around educational and technological innovation.
SkillAIbility’s participation took place as part of International LCAMP Week & Open Days 2026, held in Vitoria-Gasteiz from 21 to 23 April. Organised by Tknika, this international event brought together VET teachers, education and training centre representatives, students and industry professionals to share experiences related to Learning Factories, Industry 4.0 and the development of new skills.
Taking part in the event enabled SkillAIbility to bring its objectives and progress closer to the VET community and strengthen the connection between research, innovation and educational practice. Sharing results and exchanging experiences with other European stakeholders are key to supporting knowledge transfer and contributing to the development of VET that is prepared to address new technological challenges.
