The SkillAIbility project has published a comprehensive analysis of the technical and socioeconomic needs shaping the relationship between tasks and digital technologies in the manufacturing sector.
As artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies continue to transform industrial environments, understanding how technology can complement human capabilities is becoming increasingly important. The analysis explores the factors influencing this transition, with particular attention to skills development, workforce dynamics and the readiness of organisations to adopt new technologies.
The report examines how emerging AI technologies, global megatrends and changes in the workforce are interacting to shape the future of manufacturing. It considers not only technological developments, but also the organisational and socioeconomic conditions that can support their effective and inclusive adoption.
A key focus of the analysis is the development of human-centric, AI-enabled manufacturing systems, in line with the principles of Industry 5.0.
