TKNIKA, FP Euskadi’s applied research centre, has inaugurated its second photovoltaic plant at its Errenteria facilities. This ambitious project has benefited from the programme of incentives linked to self-consumption and storage, with renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector within the framework of the Recycling, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union -NextGenerationEU.
The installation, called TKNIKA 2, has a power of 54.50 kWp and is designed to cover a significant part of the centre’s energy needs. This new plant will enable a considerable reduction in CO₂ emissions, thus contributing to the environmental objectives of the Basque Country and the European Union.
