Summary
The project aims to address the skills gap in the domain of generative AI by designing, developing and testing 2 curricula, one for higher education (HE) and another for vocational education and training (VET). The HE curriculum aims to provide learners with knowledge and skills for designing and developing generative AI solutions, while the VET curriculum aims to provide learners with knowledge and skills for the efficient, safe, and ethical use of generative AI solutions. The 2 curricula will be complemented by a course aiming to build the resilience skills of learners at the workplace. The 2 curricula will be tested using a MOOC, while the course on resilience skills will be tested using a virtual world.
The expected project outputs are:
-A generative AI competences map and ESCO-compliant generative AI job profiles, i.e. “Generative AI Engineer” and “Prompt Engineer”.
-A HE and a VET curriculum together with learning resources which promote the need for microlearning and challenge-based learning.
-Α Digital Skills Passport for invigorating learners by authenticating both their digital (i.e. generative AI) and horizontal (i.e. resilience) skills facilitating targeted career planning.
-A MOOC for delivering the courses of the 2 curricula.
-A Virtual World for delivering the course on resilience skills at workplace.
The main project target groups are HEI and VET students, education and training providers at HE and VET, enterprises, and policy makers.
The 2 curricula will be tested with at least 200 beneficiaries from Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Finland and Lithuania. The knowledge and skills of learners will be certified using micro-credentials that will be issued upon the successful completion of each course at the MOOC. The project will create an ecosystem for the co-design and co-development of innovative curricula aiming to address talent and skills development at disruptive (deep tech) technologies, i.e. generative AI.
