Last week a “Case Study” of one of the pieces made at TKNIKA during 2021 was published on the ADDIMAT website within the WAAM project line that is developed in the area of specialization of Metal Additive Manufacturing of FP-Euskadi. WAAM technology consists of the manufacture of medium and large format pieces by the effect of an electric arc with the addition of metallic wire material. The challenge has consisted in the manufacture of a demonstrator, identifying the key aspects to take into account in the manufacture of this type of parts. The piece has been made on the ADDILAN V0.1 machine, which is a machine specifically developed for this type of solution.
