Thermographic analysis of the Txomin district of Donostia

Within our collaboration with the Hotmaps project, a thermographic study has been carried out in the Txomin district of Donostia. The objective was to analyse the heat leaks of a series of houses that are going to be the object of intervention.

The thermographic images were taken from the ground, since the area is located in the CTR (control area) of the San Sebastian Airport and is also an urban area. Despite the fact that the legislation RD 1036/2017, already in force, allows flying over this type of scenarios, procedures to carry out this type of operations have not yet been defined by AESA. That is why it has not been possible to use aerial images.

Anyway, once the images were obtained, the subsequent treatment has been the same, obtaining really significant results. In the images, the energy leaks of the buildings can be clearly seen, mainly through the frontage-pillars and frontage-roof contact zones.
