A Micro-Survey Framework for Inclusion and Diversity in Vocational Education (ID-VET)

Objectives
Our project aims to create a question framework for identifying barriers to inclusion and diversity in vocational education and training (VET) schools. This project aims to find and evaluate practice questions across five different European VET schools. VET schools struggle to address ID barriers, especially for students with fewer opportunities. Therefore, by asking the students directly, we can get more accurate and actionable feedback to help VET schools make positive changes.

Activities
We will build capacity and identify the right questions to address ID barriers, testing them across 5 European vocational schools. We aim to collect over 75,000 data points from micro-surveys to gain insights into relevant barriers and best practices to remove them. StudentPulse and Xarxa FP will actively participate. We’ll create a whitepaper and host a webinar to help schools adopt the right survey questions and take actionable steps toward inclusion and diversity.

Impact
The main results of our project include a validated set of questions that vocational schools can use to identify and address inclusion and diversity barriers. Our project will also build capacity among participating partners and demonstrate how technology can be used to gather insights and remove barriers. We expect this project to have a lasting impact on vocational education in Europe and beyond by creating more inclusive and diverse learning environments for all students.
