On September 18th, Tknika welcomed the TKgune coordinators for a dynamic training session to familiarize them with the latest application that will be pivotal in the coming school years. This gathering marked a significant step in the evolution of the TKgune program, offering veteran and new coordinators a deeper understanding of the platform’s purpose and potential. 35 teachers from 27 different VET centers took part in the session.
The session kicked off with an introduction to the TKgune program basics, providing the foundation for those stepping into their roles for the first time. Coordinators were guided through the necessary steps to initiate the program effectively. Still, the true highlight of the day was the unveiling of the new application—a tool that promises to streamline processes and enhance the program’s overall efficiency.
In a clear and detailed demonstration, coordinators were shown how this application would support their day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth transitions and a more interconnected system across schools. This training proved to be a much-needed opportunity for coordinators to ask questions, clarify processes, and gain confidence in utilizing the new platform.
A Collaborative Spirit
Beyond the technicalities, the session fostered a space for dialogue. Coordinators from different VET centers didn’t just absorb information; they shared their own experiences, concerns, and perspectives. This open exchange allowed participants to learn from one another’s challenges and successes. In an era where collaboration is key, this collective learning process strengthens the TKgune community and promotes a unified approach across educational institutions. Regarding the contributions, to mention only a few, one of the topics covered was about the surveys sent to companies; It was suggested that it was difficult for companies to comply and that it might have to be redesigned.
European AIRinVET: From Framework to Action
In addition to the focus on the new application, the training featured a special session on the “Framework” developed as part of the European AIRinVET project. This framework, the result of extensive research and collaboration at a European level, was presented to coordinators, with a focus on its implementation and the impact it could have on the future of vocational education and training (VET).

Looking Ahead
This training session wasn’t just a one-off event; it marked the beginning of an ongoing journey of learning, growth, and collaboration. The insights gathered, particularly those surrounding the AIRinVET project, have already begun shaping the next steps for Tknika and its partners. As the AIRinVET project continues, the input from these coordinators will help reshape applied research in vocational education centers across Europe, improving both the efficiency of educational frameworks and the quality of vocational training.
