EUROFUND. REGIONAL INDUSTRIAL POLICY

 In About Tknika

The 28 and 29 of Novemeber, the second Regional Policy Seminar of Eurofund will be held in Tknika.

This is the second in a series of Regional Industrial Policy Seminars (RIPS). The first of these seminars took place 25 th -27 th May in Gothenburg and Trollhättan, Sweden, on the topic of “Regional industrial policy after a large manufacturing plant closure”.

These seminars are an integral part of the Pilot Project “The Future of Manufacturing in Europe”, an EU-financed project which has been delegated to Eurofound, an agency of the European Union.

The aim of these seminars is to investigate the role of regional actors and policies promoting employment in light of the very significant economic and technological challenges and opportunities for manufacturing in Europe.

The theme of this particular seminar is how a smart specialisation strategy can evolve by utilising existing skills and how these skills can be developed by mobilising a broad range of regional actors, and not least companies.
