Our @AIRinVET project made its debut at the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) 2023 congress in Montreal, this week of April 23. The international gathering attracts experts and professionals in the field of professional technical education and training from all continents.
The WFCP 2023 Congress was held in Montréal, Canada, from April 23– 25, 2023. Hosted by Colleges and Institutes Canada, the Congress’ theme of ‘Collective Intelligence’ resonated with the amazing host city, Montreal (Quebec), renowned as a hub of cultural, environmental, social, and artificial intelligence!
Melanie Henke, from Hanse-Parlament, presented our project to attendants from Canada, Australia, Singapore, and all over the world.
Together with Melanie, Unai Ziarsolo from Tknika, and Miriam Korstanje from Katapult attended the Congress and learned about many impressive examples of applied research activities in VET centres. As they mentioned “It was such an interesting mix of presentations and perspectives”.
Our group participated actively in the panel session on Applied Research from an international perspective, moderated by Manal Bahubeshi, Vice-President of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada.
After the panel, AIRIINVET was on the poster session, and the partner group could share views and discuss the applied research case studies presented with the authors of the posters on display.
This was also an opportunity to contact participants in our mapping to identify the different approaches to applied research in VET we can find. Thanks to all for your contributions!
