1st SDG4BIZ International Conference in Fenice, Padua (Italy)

Project partners representatives and some company representatives from the Padova area joined the 1st seminar in Fenice Fondazione premises in Padua, Italy. As well as online participants.
After the introduction of Fenice Fondazione’s president, there were two very interesting panel sessions. In the first panel, three company representatives discussed sustainable business models, related to digitalisation, human resources management, and how their impact not only on the company but also on the city.
In the second panel discussion led by Hagga Helia, many questions arose such as if business is made or discovered. Or how do we understand business opportunity recognition, is it more an output of making or a stroke of luck/fortunate coincidence?
Panelists agreed that companies try to find solutions to their customer’s problems, and it is in this process when business is created, in the process itself, in the output, in the resources used, in the use of by-products, in a new use for an existing product or service, …
During the session, Yaşar University’s representative updated the participants on the development process of the sustainable business opportunities book.
