Drones4STEM: Training the next-generation experts in drone technologies and applications leveraging STEM in secondary education

Objectives
D4STEM aims to: a) introduce a low-cost educational drone platform easily programmable e.g. through Scratch. B) develop an e-learning course for relevant STEM activities C) develop specific use cases and educational materials for carrying out project-based learning activities based on the advanced uses of drones in domains like smart farming, environmental monitoring and restoration D) promote teaching leveraging the advanced STEM methodology for helping students to develop relevant skills.

Activities
WP2 will evaluate and specify the educational drone platform and programming environment and develop the selected use cases and all related material. Teacher upskilling will be performed in WP3 through the development of an e-learning course. The STEM methodology, projects and materials will be demonstrated through webinars, workshops and pilots at schools in WP4. All activities will be managed accordingly by WP1 and supported by an EU Community of practic and impact creation activities in WP5

Impact
D4STEM will deliver an easily programmable and customizable educational drone platform. 3 use cases with all supporting educational material and HW and SW designs will be developed to help teachers develop engaging STEM activities to reach the D4STEM educational goals. Training on the methodology will be delivered in all partner languages through an e-learning course. All results will be piloted, evaluated and demonstrated through impact creation activities and an EU community of practice.
