A European Digital Twin Skills ecosystem consisting of 2 VET providers, 1 HVET provider, 2 HE institutions, 4 SMEs, 1 cluster of companies and 1 chamber of commerce from 5 Countries will design, test, refine and exploit an integral curriculum about digital twin for EU mid-high level IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) technicians at EQF Levels 4-8, available in English and in all partner languages by 2026. The specific objective of the project is to improve the ability of EDU-VET providers to meet companies’ requests thanks to the achievement of two main results:
1. Improved companies’ performance in commissioning, production and maintenance;
2. Improved ability of EDU-VET providers to adapt training to industry needs.
Partners selected as beneficiary target groups students, workers, trainers, EDU-VET providers and companies. The final beneficiaries direclty involved in the project are 50 teachers, 300 students, 100 workers, 40 stakeholders.
The project will deliver the following tranferable outputs:
– 1 Digital Twin Skills Index detailing the required competences of a technician in the Digital Twin sector
– 1 Self-Evaluation Tool to recognize prior learning and customize learning
– 450-hour modular e-learning course covering: 1) Introduction/pre-requisites 2) Digital Twins 3) Virtual commissioning 4) Virtual maintenance 5) Business intelligence 6) Virtual environment 7) Industrial Cybersecurity 8) Other technologies 9) Green transition 10) Resilience/Soft skills and entrepreneurial skills.
– 1 Digital Twin Training Methodology and User Manual to transfer the results to VET, HVET and HE organizations
– 5 Digital Twin labs to practice the e-learning course in real work scenarios
– 5 National and 1 international Skills competitions to address industry challenges working in teams
– 1 Digital Twin occupation profile applying the ESCO classification
– 10 Micro-credentials to certify the modules and the entire Digital Twin curricula.
