Blue Circle – Mapping Sustainable Opportunities for VET in the Blue Economy / BLUE CIRCLE

Objectives

The Blue Circle project aims to identify and map opportunities in the sustainable blue economy for VET, and to promote awareness of these opportunities among teachers/trainers and students/trainees through gamification.
The project also includes the creation of a pilot think-tank on sustainable blue economy, which will contribute to the identification and mapping of opportunities for VET, and the adaptation of a self-assessment tool on circular economy skills to the sustainable blue economy.

Activities

The project will:
1. Implement a pilot think tank on sustainable blue economy, directed to VET.
2. Identify and map opportunities on sustainable blue economy for VET.
3. Adapt a matrix and tool for self-assessment of circular skills to the sustainable blue economy.
4. Design and develop the “Blue Sherlock Game”, for awareness and identification of professional opportunities in the sustainable blue economy.
5. Disseminate the outputs, including three multiplier events in Portugal(1) and Spain(2).

Impact

The expected project results are:
1. Contribute to a socially fair transition to the green economy in EU, through the identification of professional opportunities for VET in the sustainable blue economy.
2. Raise the awareness among the VET providers, teachers, trainers and learner for the needs and professional opportunities for VET in the sustainable blue economy.
3. Enable VET learners skills to work in the sustainable blue economy.
