On 26 February, SMALEI’s partners will meet in Brussels for the “SMALEI Final Conference: Empowering Adult Learning and Education for a Sustainable Future”. During the event, participants will discuss the future of adult learning and education (ALE) in Europe, and celebrate the efforts of SMALEI to promote sustainable practices within ALE organisations.

A platform for collaboration and dialogue with policy-makers

In an ever-changing society, SMALEI recognises the vital role of lifelong learning and the growing need for ALE institutions to embrace sustainability into their educational curricula. To streamline this process, the project’s consortium has developed resources to support ALE organisations in applying a sustainable angle into their activities. Tools like the SMALEI MatrixWorkbook, and the Digital Academy offer guidance to achieve this goal, and provide policymakers with the knowledge to shape policy that facilitates further integration of sustainability into Adult Education.

The conference will bring together participants and policymakers to learn about the SMALEI’s outcome, best practices and tools, and how these resources can drive sustainable development in Adult Education.

By bringing together ALE organisations, practitioners, policymakers, civil society representatives, and lifelong learning experts, this event aims to encourage collaboration to build a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient adult education sector across Europe.
