innoVET: 1st Summit Wilhemshaven
This post is also available in the following languages: Euskara, Español
The 1st summit of the innoVET project has taken place in Wilhemshaven. It is the starting point to meet the network members and start working together. The Tolosaldea LHII center participates in this meeting together with Tknika.
This first summit in Wilhemshaven starts with questions to get a common definition accepted by all participating organizations.
- How to define “INNOVATION” in your institution?
- How to define “INTERNATIONALIZATION” in your institution?
- How are innovation and internationalization related from the perspective of your institution/organization?
To do this, several tools were used through the meeting which helped us to obtain a visual representation of all the organizations, showing where they are and where want to go developing the concepts of internationalisation and innovation.
Once a common description is obtained, we want to develop tools for I&I, and for this we start with the following questions:
- How to define toolboxes?
- How to design the toolboxes?
- What would be useful for us and for others?
In addition to working together, we got to know the German system and the centers of the hosts, BBS Wilhemshaven and BBS Jever. GO VET‘s presentations on internationalization in Germany have shown us the unique window for internationalization they use and Joël Luc Cachelin’s presentation “Interactive Workshop on a blue sky vision of Internationalization and Innovation in VET (I&I)” has made us reflect on the concepts of innovation and internationalization that we have subsequently worked on.
After these common definitions, the next step will be to validate them at the next Teachers Academy 1 in November.
