Smart Collaborative Learning Factories

Learning Factory represents a real industrial manufacturing environment that allows students a direct approach to the product creation process. They are based on a didactic concept that emphasizes experimental and challenge-based learning. In a Learning Factory, the entire value chain required to produce a product is recreated, using the physical environment and the necessary machines, equipment and resources.

Smart. They are environments that enable the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies, so they have a high level of digitization.

Collaborative. At a methodological level, they allow to carry out projects in which the collaboration of students from different schools, families or even inter-centers is encouraged.

The objective of this Area of Specialization, in which 22 centers are currently collaborating, is to set up a network of Smart Collaborative Learning Factories in the Vocational Training centers of the Basque Country.
